Antoine Chintreuil Museum
A nugget…
Founded in 1866 around a gallery of the illustrious men of Pont-de-Vaux, the Chintreuil Museum is housed in a beautiful private mansion from the end of the seventeenth century. It has a fine art collection with the intimate and luminous landscapes of Antoine Chintreuil which heralds Impressionism, a room dedicated to calligraphy and the works of Jacques Le Roux. Finally, a cabinet of curiosities where the animal and mineral worlds, objects brought back from distant lands and exotic birds rub shoulders. The museum sets up temporary exhibitions every season. Game booklet for children (readers and non-readers), escape game for teenagers and audio guides available.
