Bresse, renowned for its unique AOC poultry, invites you to stroll through its bocage and valleys. Steeped in history and with its typical architecture, Bresse stands out for its farms with mysterious Saracen chimneys.

This Ain à Vélo itinerary, dedicated to bicycle travellers, is suitable for cyclists who are used to cycling. It invites you to discover the life and traditions of the Bresse region. Did you know? The word "sarrasin" in Old French means "foreigner" or "from a different civilization". These farmhouses, with their distinctive chimneys and architecture, are listed as Historic Monuments. Bresse is also famous for its AOC Bresse poultry, an emblematic product and world-renowned culinary flagship. Depart Pont de Vaux, from the marina, for Saint-Trivier de Courtes, where you can take a break at the Ferme Musée de La Forêt, an authentic 16th-century Bresse farmhouse. Then on to Montrevel-en-Bresse via the La Traverse greenway to reach the Ferme du Sougey, where you can enjoy a dip in the Plaine Tonique at the end of the day, and why not spend the night? The next day, we head for Vonnas, a famous village renowned for its flowers and one of the most emblematic figures in French gastronomy, Georges BLANC. Head for the Cormoranche/Saône leisure center along the Voie Bleue cycle route, where you can enjoy water sports, eat and spend the night at the campsite. You'll finish your journey by heading back up the Voie Bleue via Mâcon, Lamartine's city on the banks of the Saône, to your starting point.
