Les jardins d’Aestiv farm

Soft wheat, from its Latin name Triticum aestivum, has given its name to our farm. It is, so to speak, the wheat garden, the heart of our growing system. We pay particular attention to our varietal choices, which enable us to adapt to our soil and climate context, while at the same time producing a blend that meets the technological and organoleptic expectations of our customers. We strike a balance between modernity and rusticity. We have collected and multiplied ancient varieties of straw cereals. More than 10 different species are grown on our land, always with a view to both agronomy and value-adding.

We raise Aubrac cows and their offspring for slaughter and breeding. We work mainly with bulls selected on ancestry and phenotype, and complement our mating plans with well-chosen AIs. Our herd is subject to performance control. These performances reflect our all-grass management, with cows grazed on rotational pasture, and in winter on meadow hay and alfalfa. Finishing is carried out with cereal mixes and cakes produced on the farm.

We have a granite grindstone mill and an oil press on the farm, which enable us to process our farm produce while respecting its nutritional and organoleptic qualities.

We also have a butcher's shop that enables us to process our carcasses according to our own quality criteria, in association with the know-how of selected professional butchers!

All our production is managed using organic farming methods, certified AB. We are also committed to taking part in research work by setting up trials on old varieties of straw cereals, reduced tillage, crop associations and so on. To further our commitment to consumers, we have joined the Biocohérence label.
